What Is The Zone Diet Or Ratio Diet?

The zone diet or the 40:30:30 ratio diet as it is also known was created by biochemist Dr. Barry Sears. The zone diet follows 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein and 30% fats. In order for the zone diet to be effective, it needs to be followed at every meal of the day and the formula should be consistent with each. The zone diet although as a name may imply does help in the weight loss but the diet also assists in improving the general health. Following the diet however requires a great amount of discipline and its complex nature in getting the exact amounts of each component itself may be troublesome.
